Group Enrollment - Schools Only

Group Enrollment Process for JVA

We are a partner in education, able to provide advanced level classes and electives that are unavailable at a given school. To ensure we have the staffing and seats available for group enrollment requests, the following process is important.

If a school will have more than 3 students taking the same class with JVA, or need a variety of electives with JVA because they are not offered at your school, we encourage enrollment be done through the Group Enrollment Option instead of having each student apply individually.

The deadline to submit a Group Enrollment Request for 2018-2019 has expired.
If interested, please contact Shannon.Mitchell@jeffco.k12.co.us to see if it's still possible to fulfill your request.

If your school is interested, here are the 2018 Group Enrollment steps:

1. Those who will be managing the group enrollment with JVA (Administration, Counselors, Site Coordinator, etc.) need to attend a required JVA Group Enrollment Information Session; March 16th 7:30-8:30 am or April 6th 7:30-8:30 am at JVA (11025 W. Glennon Dr., Lakewood, 80226).  If a member of your staff is not present at an information session, you may not be eligible for group enrollment at JVA in the 2018-19 school year.
What you will learn:  Important due dates, number of seats available per school, recommendations for the home school to provide successful online learning experiences, communication required for parents, and JVA group enrollment contract requirements.

2. Group Enrollment Request Form goes live May 1, 2018 online.

3. Deadline for requests and signed contract is May 15, 2018.

Responsibilities of JVA: Provide a highly qualified teacher and the online curriculum for the requested class(es). Students are able to message their online teacher for help and set up virtual meetings at any time. Please note: Classes are taught in a fully online model. At times, teachers have visited a school site to make a connection with students, but these visits are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities of the partnering school: Provide computers, headphones and microphones for each student enrolled. Provide Site Coordinator, teacher or para, to oversee students during the time they're scheduled to work on their online class(es). For students accelerating in math and skipping a grade level, the school will also ensure that students are exposed to the content being skipped and support students if skill gaps are evident.
